About Veneers
Wood veneered furniture is less likely to warp, is moderately priced, and is much easier to spot refinish (as compared to melamine or mica veneers.)
Melamine is heat-sealed into the wood base.
Mica is a high-pressure laminate that is glued to the wood surface. Mica is simulated wood finish with a durable, scratch- resistant surface, requiring soft-cloth only cleaning, and will not warp unless wet. Mica is also a difficult surface to repair.
